Abraham Lincoln Biography

Abraham Lincoln was born in February 12 of 1809, at Hardin Garden ,Kentuky. He was the 16th Presindent of the United States. He led the country trought the internal civil war between the North and The South Of U.S.A. He was the first presindent that was assesinated. Before he was elected in 1860 as the first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln had been a lawyer. Lincoln won the Republican party in 1860 and was elected president that same year.

His tenure in office was occupied primarily with the defeat of the seccesionist Confederate States in the American Civil War.

In 1863 he use his Emancipation Proclamation to stop the slavery.

Lincoln Childhood

When Lincoln was nine years old, and his mother was 34 years old, she died of milksickness. Soon, afterwards, his father; Thomas Lincoln married Sara Bush.

On Novenber 4 of 1842 Lincoln married Mary Todd, daughter of a prominent slave-owning family from Kentucky. They have 4 sons, the first was Robert Tood Lincoln, who borned in Springfield, Illinois, In August 1 of 1843.daughter of a prominent slave-owning family from Kentucky.

The other Lincoln children were born in Springfield, Illinois, and died either during childhood or their teen years. Edward Baker Lincoln was born on March 10, 1846, and died on February 1, 1850, also in Springfield. William Wallace Lincoln was born on December 21, 1850, and died on February 20, 1862 in during President Lincoln's first term. Thomas Lincoln was born on April 4, 1853, and died on July 16, 1871 in Chicago. His only soon that die when he was old was Robert Todd Lincoln.

Licoln died in April the 15th in 1865.
